Norwich showing interest in prolific ex-Leeds striker

According to the Daily Mail, Premier League outfit Norwich are interested in signing Fulham’s Ross McCormack after a forgettable season for the Cottagers saw them finish 17th.

An abject season for Fulham was highlighted by the form of McCormack in his first season at Craven Cottage following his move from Leeds United.

17 goals in 43 league appearances made him firmly the clubs top scorer last season and he was duly named Fulham’s Player of the Season.

After starting his career at Rangers, the Scottish international made a name for himself in Scotland with Motherwell which led to a move to Wales to join Championship side Cardiff.

An incredible first season with the Bluebirds – netting 21 in 38 league games – was surprisingly followed up by a season of just four goals in 34 games, although he was being deployed out wide for the majority of the season.

A move to Leeds United in 2010 sparked the best form of the striker’s career. In four seasons in Elland Road, McCormack netted 53 goals in 140 league games, including 28 during the 2013-14 season – winning him the Golden Boot.

His performances that season also earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, as well being named Leeds United’s Players’ Player of the Year and Fans Player of the Year, which led to a reported £11 million transfer to Fulham.
