Everton leading chase for Sako to fill loan voids

The much talked about future of Wolverhampton Wanderers versatile attacking midfielder Bakary Sako has now seen the in-demand forward linked with a move to Merseyside outfit Everton.

Everton went through the 2014/15 season with loan wingers in the form of Aaron Lennon, from Tottenham, and Christian Atsu from Chelsea.

However Atsu has recently signed on loan for newly-promoted Bournemouth, ruling out a move to the Toffees and leaving them a winger light in their squad.

Sako is soon to be a free agent as his contract at Molineux expires, and plenty of teams including West Brom and Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on the Mali international.

Wolves’ top scorer last season with 15 goals in all competitions, and also supplying eight assists, has make Sako’s signature much sought after.

The 27 year-old signed for Wanderers back in 2012 for £2.2 million from French outfit Saint-Etienne after impressing during his three seasons in Ligue 1.
