Bristol City showing interest in prolific Brentford striker

Following his impressive form for MK Dons last season while on loan, Bristol City are interested in Brentford’s striker Will Grigg according to reports.

This isn’t the first time the Robins have been keen on signing the 23 year-old as their Director of Football Keith Burt apparently made an inquiry last summer for the services of the attacker.

Grigg is entering the final year of his contract at Griffin Park and his future is unclear due to manager Mark Warburton’s departure.

Last season while on loan at the Dons, Grigg was an integral part of the squad that managed to attain promotion to the Championship, scoring 20 goals in 44 league games.

After starting his career at Walsall the Northern Ireland international rose to prominence in the 2012-13 season where he managed to score 20 goals in 41 league games, leading to the striker winning Walsall’s Player of the Season award.

A £400,000 move to Brentford came about following this form, but Grigg struggled to find his feet at with the Bees and scored just five goals in 27 games leading to his loan move to the MK Dons.
