Birmingham City eye move for former Swindon Town keeper

Birmingham City could be set to swoop for former Swindon Town goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, report the Birmingham Mail.

Foderingham made over 190 appearances for the Robins, and was released by the club at the end of a campaign which saw them thrashed 4-0 by Preston in the League One play-off final.

The 24-year-old is reportedly in search of Championship football, and the Blues are in desperate need of a goalkeeper after Darren Randolph’s move to West Ham, and the release of Colin Doyle.

However, following Adam Federici’s move to Premier League new boys Bournemouth, Reading may also be interested in the goalkeeper.

If Birmingham miss out of Foderingham, there are a number of alternatives, with Wigan‘s former shot-stopper Ali Al-Habsi and ex-Manchester United Ben Amos both available, as well as Leicester City’s long-serving Conrad Logan released by the Foxes. Thomas Kuszczak may also be available, having not committed his future to Wolves.
