Gary Hooper to Championship side?

Norwich striker, Gary Hooper, has had an ‘alright’ season with the Canaries, scoring 12 goals in 32 games. The former Celtic star will want to improve that ratio next season, but with Norwich getting promoted into the Premier League, the likes of Kompany and Mertesacker will make it a lot harder. If he wants to be a first team regular next season, then a loan move to the Championship could well be his best option.

Bolton Wanderers are ideal for this move. Manager, Neil Lennon, has managed Gary Hooper when they were both at Celtic and Hooper’s goal scoring record was incredible then, scoring 63 in 95  league games. Lennon has clearly brought out the best in the, once dangerous, Premier League striker. The Trotters are in need of a forward due to the club not being able to afford Cardiff’s Adam Le Fondre, who was on loan at Bolton last season.

If this move does happen, this will give Bolton that extra boost next season, which could see them be the surprise team with Wanderers fans hoping they can contend for the play-offs.
