Beckford and Robinson set for Leeds United return

Former Bolton Wanderers striker Jermaine Beckford and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson both look set to return to Leeds United this summer, according to the Sun.

Beckford, who joined Preston North End on loan in November, scored 12 in League One before a dominant display in the Play-Off Final with a hat-trick secured the Lilywhites’ return to the Sky Bet Championship.

He originally moved to Leeds United in 2006, scoring 72 goals at the club in his final three seasons, having made just two appearances in his first two. He moved to Everton in 2010, but an unsuccessful spell saw him fall back into the Football League.

Beckford has also been reported to be in talks with Preston over a permanent deal, having been released from Bolton.

Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson could also return to Elland Road this summer, as he looks set to be released from Blackburn Rovers. The former England goalkeeper started his career at Elland Road, and should the opportunity arise, would should love the chance of finishing his career there also.
