Leeds United: rumour of Serie C arrival

Continuing the tradition from last season, it appears that Leeds may be interested in an Italian defender from Italy’s lower leagues. In a report surfacing on Inside Futbol, there are mentions of a swelling in the reputation of Marco Migliorini, a central defender currently playing his trade for Serie C Juve Stabia, for whom he’s made 36 appearances this season scoring two goals (one in Serie C and one in the Coppa Italia)

His consistency for the third tier Italian side has piqued interest both in his homeland and in England with both Serie A new boys Capri and Leeds United expressing an interest in gaining his services for the season ahead. However, a bid from either team will likely have to contend with interest from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur who are reputedly aiming to test the waters with a €1m bid.

Migliorini career began at Chievo Verona and he has also played on loan deals with Chieti, Torino and Como in Italy. With Leeds likely needing cover at the back, is this a signing that should be firmed up, especially considering the fact that he is receiving Premier League interest?
