Rowett is reportedly interested in signing his old player Jacques Maghoma, after he was released by Sheffield Wednesday.
Maghoma has not had the effect Wednesday had hoped, but he worked wonders for Burton under Rowett.
Playing out wide, he notched up 18 goals for the Brewers in the 2012/13 season but has failed to have the same impact after his move. Maghoma is currently a free agent and Rowett will be hoping that he can regain that form, should Blues move for him.
Maghoma has so far struggled at this level, so if Blues do sign him, it will be a bit of a risk – though it could pay off if he can find his Burton form again.
