Wolves planning move for Shrewsbury hot-shot

According to reports, Wolves are preparing a bid for Shrewsbury Town’s young-star Josh Ginnelly after drawing rave reviews for the talent he is showing at New Meadow.

After being released from Aston Villa’s youth academy in 2014, the youngster was picked up by Shrewsbury who spotted the potential the 18 year-old harbours.

Drawing interest from Celtic and Sheffield United as well as Wolves, the winger is in high demand despite only making three appearances for the Shrews this season.

Versatility is a quality many coaches look for these days, and Ginnelly can be played as either a conventional winger or he can be deployed in a role just behind a striker.

Being offered his first professional contract in March 2015, manager Micky Mellor has encouraged the forward to stay with the Shrews to help his footballing development.
