If what Radio Leeds presenter Adam Pope has tweeted (above) is correct, then Leeds fans will be ecstatically excited at the news that highly-rated youngster Lewis Cook could be about to sign a new contract. The tweet from Pope mentions that a text was sent from Leeds chairman/president/owner Massimo Cellino direct to him [Pope] saying that the new contract was with Cook, his family and his agent and that it had been signed by the club.
Should this be confirmed to be the case, it may go some way towards restoring supporter faith in the regime running the club. It will also go a long way to firing a broadside as to the aspirations of the club as they seek to go forward on the positives gained from last season.
