Benik Afobe releases his near-future plans

Wolverhampton Wanderers star striker Benik Afobe has today spoke about his future, admitting he wants to play in the Premier League, with Wolves.

The 22-year old has spoke out about how he wants to be playing in the Premier League, but has insisted he wants to fire Wolves into the top division of England and remain at the club.

“My main aim is to be in the Premier League with Wolves.”

Since the season ended not so long ago, there has been talks suggesting that Afobe has been linked with arch-rivals West Bromwich Albion, but these have been ruled out by Benik Afobe and West Brom who denied it themselves.

Benik Afobe is currently the top goal-scorer in England, managing to net 13 goals in 21 games for Wolves, and an earlier 19 goals whilst being on-loan at MK Dons.

He joined Wolves in January after signing from Arsenal and agreed to a three-and-half year deal.

Afobe today said: “It’s nice to know Premier League clubs are looking at you because it means you are doing well. I haven’t had any contact with any of these clubs and I haven’t been texting anyone or managers saying I want to leave this club already. I’ve only been here since January. I want to be in the Premier League, everyone knows that, and my main aim is to be in the Premier League with Wolves.”

“No-one has come up to me and said ‘listen, we want to take you’ and Wolves haven’t said ‘we want to sell you’. I want to do my job week in, week out and I’m enjoying myself here.”

Wolves missed out on the Championship play-offs by a goal difference of four and finished 7th in the league.
