With il capo Cellino riding in from the football wastelands, after his ban from functioning in a meaningful capacity at Leeds United ended on Sunday, only one thing prevented his full return to the fold. The fact that upon his return to Elland Road and Leeds United, Cellino had to retake the ‘Owners and Directors Test’ before reinstating him as a club director. It seems that this hurdle has been overcome, according to Phil Hay,
According to Massimo Cellino, the Football League has approved his appointment as director and chairman of #lufc. Have asked FL to confirm.

According to Phil Hay, Cellino told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he had been reinstated saying, “I have the permission. It came through today. I’m pleased they acted quickly.”
Now that Massimo is parked, it must be time to apply some pressure and avoid going missing. Our velocity in the transfer market needs to be measured and Cellino needs to look at getting players in sooner rather than later. Football transfer markets are volatile at this time of the year, the coast is always changing and Leeds need to get in there quickly and not be left holding an empty bag nearing the end of it where we then just throw anything into it in the hope that we get a bargain.
Rumours continue to abound that Cellino is interested in a shopping in the foreign markets which seems to be both a signal and sign of his operating policies when it comes to potential arrivals at Elland Road. Whatever Cellino has up his sleeve, most likely five aces, it’s sure to be a fun transfer summer up in LS11 and one where Leeds fans are hoping that the club get that one thing that they need, a goalscoring striker.
