Having supported Chesterfield FC from a young age, I can safely say that this season has been by far the most successful and entertaining period that I have experienced. Winning League Two last season was a great achievement, but to show the level of quality that has seen us reach the play offs this year has been nothing short of an incredible achievement. The Spireites finished the league in sixth position and now have the chance to secure back to back promotions into the Championship through the play offs. Facing Preston on Thursday will be a tough task for Chesterfield who will most likely be considered the underdogs in this fixture but having proved they can beat tough opposition already this season, they will surely put in a valiant effort against the Lilywhites.
