Manager of the Month Nomination For Blues Boss

Gary Rowett has been nominated for the April Manager of the Month after steering Blues into the top half of the Championship, having taken over a team in the relegation zone.

The 41-year-old faces tough competition, with Eddie Howe and Slavisa Jokanovic also in the running having secured promotion this month.

It’s nice to see Rowett getting recognition for the work he’s done in this half-season, even if he’s unlikely to win the award.

He has seen his side pick up 13 points this month, from 7 games, which has led to a third nomination for the ex-Burton boss. Nominated in November at Blues, and for Burton in August this season, Rowett has proved his ability as a manager in two different leagues.

If he does get the nod ahead of the two promoted managers and Norwich’s Neil Adams, it will be the first time he’s won the award, surprisingly.

The winner of the award will be announced tomorrow – hopefully if Rowett does win the award, Blues can avoid the curse for the last game of the season!
