Wake Me Up Before Diego

Diego Fabbrini was hauled off after his protective mask was broken during the midweek game against Reading – but has done his very best to be ready to play tomorrow.

The Italian paid for his own flight out to Italy in order to get a new mask fitted in time for tomorrow’s game against Charlton.

His performances have endeared himself to the Blues fans and his desire to impress and play will only enhance his reputation amongst the St. Andrews faithful.

The 24-year-old has only played 3 times for Blues but has already made an impact on the home crowd who will love to see him one last time; though Gary Rowett has hinted that he might be able to sign him permanently.

Fabbrini’s obvious desperation to play might be an indication that he would like to stay, though it may depend on Watford’s promotion charge. Should Watford go up, it would seem more likely that they would be willing to let Fabbrini go – then it’s just down to whether Blues can stump up the cash to sign him.

I think I speak on behalf of all Blues fans when I say I’d love for him to sign.
