Match Preview: Millwall vs Wigan Athletic

Tuesday, 14th April 2015

Kick off: 19:45

Millwall and Wigan find themselves in the Championship relegation zone with only a handful of games left to play.

This game is crucial to both sides fight for survival.

A win for either side would see them only four points away from twenty-first placed Rotherham.

This game was already massive for both Millwall and Wigan, but it has become even more vital to the two clubs seasons with the news that Rotherham could be deducted three points after fielding an ineligible player in their 1-0  win over Brighton. This would draw the relegation battle into even closer contention than it was previously.

Neil Harris has injected new life into what seemed a dead and buried Millwall side, The Lions playing much better football having reverted back to a standard and old school 4-4-2 formation. Since taking over as interim boss on March 10th Millwall have only lost two of their five games.

New Latics boss Gary Caldwell brings his side into this game following Friday’s 2-2 draw away at Fulham, which was the 33-year-olds first game in charge. Wigan enter this game without a win in five league games.
