Blues set to cash in on young talent Gray

Birmingham City’s club officials have spoken about how they are now resigned to having to sell their young prospect Demarai Gray in the summer.

Much has been written about the English youngster, with interest being reported from top Premier League clubs as well as several Championship outfits.

After having several bids rejected in January for the winger, it would seem as if Bournemouth are in the driving seat to sign the 18 year-old.

Winning the Football League Young player of the Month award in December of this season, Gray draw rave reviews for his performances in the first half of this term, but has recently failed to reproduce that form.

Joining Birmingham’s academy at the age of just 10, Gray has failed to reach an agreement over a new contract at St Andrew’s.

The Blue’s rejected a £5 million bid for Gray in January, but may be forced to sell for less with the player eligible to leave for free on a Bosman in the summer of 2016.

Fresh off of his stunning solo goal against Wolves today, which proved to be the winner, Gray will be a name which many clubs will be wanting to add to their squad.
