Ince will stay on the south coast

Brighton boss Chris Hughton has ruled out midfielder Rohan Ince leaving the club in the summer.

Ince, 22, has been a key player in the Brighton side this season and has recently been linked with a move away with Liverpool, Newcastle, and West Ham reportedly interested.

The youngster, who joined from Chelsea in 2013, is approaching the final year of his contract. Hughton however, believes that Albion can tie Ince down to a long-term deal.

Speaking to The Argus, Hughton said that:

“I think any link with Rohan with the Premier League at the moment is absolutely speculation. He is somebody that is still developing his game.

“As always with younger players the form can be a little bit sporadic and I think that’s been the case with Rohan”.

Ince responded by commenting:

“It’s flattering to be linked with those teams, big clubs in the Premier League where every player wants to play, but at the moment I am just concentrating on Brighton”

Ince was recently nominated for Mitre’s Goal of the Year competition for his effort against Swindon back in August, which can be viewed below
