Ex-Arsenal starlet Benik Afobe linked with a shock move back to the Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Benik Afobe has been linked with moves to Crystal Palace and West Brom if his current side don’t achieve promotion this season.

The English striker is in sensational form this year, having scored eight goals in a mere 14 games since his January move to The Wanderers.

Being scouted and signed by Arsenal at the age of just eight, Afobe was with the Gunners for 14 years, but failed to make a first-team appearance for the North London side.

A powerful and pacey frontman, two attributes which are becoming more and more prominent in the modern game, the 22 year-old made his name in the first half of the 2014-15 season.

Signing on loan for League 1 side Milton Keynes, Afobe managed to end his loan spell with an impressive record of better than a goal every other game, scoring 19 goals in 30 games.

Currently the 2nd highest top scoring in the top four English tiers, only being surpassed by none other than Harry Kane, teams are keen to see if Afobe has what it takes to cut it in the Premier League.

Sitting two points below the Play-Offs, with just seven games to go Wolves need to maintain their winning ways in order to keep their star striker.
