Nottingham Forest have signed Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year old forward has appeared 7 times for Arsenal in the first team this season.

He has previously been out on loan at Brentford and Coventry, and today joined Nottingham Forest.

Dougie Freedman will welcome him into the team with pure delight as it offers him another striking option as Britt Assombalonga was set to exceed 20 goals this season, but has been ruled out until 2016 with a serious knee injury.

Akpom has not yet scored a senior goal, but will help to bolster Forest as they go on a late promotion play-off push, currently 9th in the league, 10 points off with 7 games to go.
