Dyer disappointed with negative Ipswich fans

Kieron Dyer has expressed his frustration with the negativity of some Ipswich fans, with the East Anglian side sitting 6th in the Championship table.

Dyer, who was born and raised in Ipswich, and went on to make almost 100 league appearances for his hometown club, wants fans to get behind the team in their promotion push.

“For a while everything just seemed so negative; the fans, the media, everyone. I was driving home from London last Tuesday night and listening to the radio after the 1-0 win against Bolton. You’d have thought we were bottom of the league hearing some of the comments. It’s the same when I pick up the paper and see these survey pages” Dyer told the Sudbury Mercury.

The Tractor Boys are currently 5 points off the automatic promotion places in the Championship with 7 games to play.
