Seven Championship clubs are battling for the signature of highly-rated Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom.
Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Ipswich, Derby, Wigan and Fulham are all interested in signing the 19 year old on loan, with Forest reportedly close to sealing the deal. Akpom will base his decision on where he will be given the most first team opportunities, according to The Independent.
Akpom recently signed a new contract at Arsenal and has made seven substitute appearances for the Gunners this season. Championship teams have until Thursday to finalise any further loan deals but Arsenal seem happy to give the forward valuable experience.
Dougie Freedman’s Forest side hope to sign Akpom to help them in their final push for the play-off places.
