Luton Town v Wycombe Wanderers – Preview

Luton Town v Wycombe Wanderers

Prostate Cancer UK Stadium

Tuesday 24th March

7:45pm

Overview

Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers travel to Prostate Cancer UK Stadium on Tuesday night to take on an out of form Luton Town side who have lost their last 5 games out of 6. The home side see themselves sitting in the play off places by just one point. Luton’s Jonathan Smith is highly doubtful to start tomorrow’s game after a knee injury.

Wycombe will be keen to continue their good run of form. They are unbeaten in their last 6 matches and are sitting comfortably in 3rd place.  A win tomorrow night will greatly strengthen their chances of automatic promotion. Wycombe striker Matt McClure returns to the side after his 3 match ban.

Their previous encounter this season at Adams Park, ended in a 1-1 draw on Boxing day.

Last time out

Luton last XI (v Newport): Justham, Harriman, McNulty, Wilkinson, Howells, Lawless, Guttridge, McGeehan, Drury, Cullen, Lee.

Wycombe last XI (v Accrington Stanley): Ingram, Yennaris, Pierre, Mawson, Jacobson, Saunders, Bean, Bloomfield, Wood, Hayes, Onyedinma.

Team News (Official site)

Luton – It is going to be a case of ‘as you were’ for the Town tonight with John Still unable to call upon Mark Tyler, Jonathan Smith and Nathan Doyle (all knee) and Scott Griffiths (hernia). Paul Benson is in contention for a starting place after making substitute appearances in the last two matches. Curtley Williams and Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu are also unavailable.

Wycombe – Gareth Ainsworth will have Matt McClure available again after the striker served a three-match ban for his red card at Tranmere, while Sido Jombati continues to be assessed as he recovers from the foot injury which kept him out of the last two games.
