McGugan open to permanent Wednesday move

Lewis McGugan has spoken about his enjoyable loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and how he’d be open to a permanent switch from parent club Watford.

McGugan has scored 3 and assisted 4 for the Owls since he move from Vicarage Road to Hillsborough. Speaking to SportsMail McGugan said “If Sheffield Wednesday and Watford can do a deal, then brilliant, but it’s up to the clubs. I can only concentrate on playing well on the pitch.” McGugan was also complementary of manager Stuart Gray “The manager has been fantastic for me, really straight. You know exactly what he wants from you. He gives you the platform to go out and perform and it’s up to you to repay his faith.

McGugan will have 1 year left on his Watford contract when this campaign ends and is unlikely to be part of Slavisa Jokanovic’s plans for next season.
