Redfearn aiming high

Leeds continued their impressive run of form under Neil Redfearn with a draw against Blackpool on a pitch described by Redfearn as a ‘quagmire’.

The draw against the bottom side in the Championship extended Leeds’ unbeaten run to five games, a run in which they’ve conceded just 2 goals. Redfearn says that the upcoming international break will be used as an opportunity for his players to get a ‘little breather’ and to recover from some minor injuries.

Leeds currently sit 13th in the Championship table but with the gap to the relegation zone now 17 points, The Whites’ Head Coach is looking up, not down. Speaking to leedsunited.com, Redfearn said “We are on 52 points now and that is a far better total from where we were when I first took over and we were two points off the drop. If we can finish in the top 10 that will be a fantastic achievement because it wasn’t looking good at one point. That is what we want to try and do.”
