Eddie Howe is now considered a serious contender to replace Sam Allardyce at West Ham, according to the Mirror.

The Bournemouth boss is currently fighting for promotion to the Premier League, currently third in the league.

Sam Allardyce, who is currently in charge at West Ham has not opened any talks to renew his contract, which expires in the summer.

Aged just 37, the Cherries chief is one of the Football Leagues youngest managers, but has been in management for sometime after his playing career was cut short due to injury.
