Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has said that they are “getting close” to signing an un-named striker on loan.
Dougie Freedman has been working all hours to try and capture the signature of the mystery signing, but now admits that there is competition to sign him.
After his side won 2-0 over Rotherham on Wednesday, Freedman said: “We are getting close. There is fierce competition right now,”
“This will really test my talks that I give to players, this will really test what the club is about in terms of how quickly we can move.
“It’s fierce competition for strikers right now. We are getting close to someone that we feel can help us. It’s about convincing them we can develop them and making sure they get some game time. There is a lot of things we have to talk about to players these days to convince them we are the right club, which is hard when there are 10 or 12 clubs chasing him. We have to move at the speed of light, we are working very hard. I know what’s happening, we are working on it as we speak, we are trying our very best to add just a little bit to help the lads.” – Dougie Freedman
