Troy Deeney: Watford v Ipswich
Troy Deeney’s double at struggling Wigan on Tuesday night sent Watford top of the Championship on goal difference and the former Walsall man is the league’s second top goalscorer with 19 strikes thus far this season. Deeney has been in prolific form of late with eight goals in his last eight games placing him just four goals behind this weekend’s opponents’ striker Daryl Murphy who has 23 for Ipswich. Deeney as subject to a bid from struggling Premier League side Leicester last summer but stayed in Hertfordshire to help Watford fight for promotion and he’s been a revelation for former Chelsea man Slavisa Jokanovic’s side this season. You wouldn’t bet against Deeney adding to his 19-goal tally on Saturday as top-of-the-table Watford host inconsistent Ipswich at Vicarage Road.
