Forest eye Carayol loan move

Dougie Freedman is reportedly considering a loan move for Middlesbrough winger Mustapha Carayol but Aitor Karanka is wary of rushing the Gambian back into first team football.

Carayol required cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery after he sustained an injury in an away game against Bournemouth about a year ago. When asked if Carayol could make a return to first team action for Boro, Karanka told GazetteLive “I don’t think so. Maybe I am wrong and maybe he thinks that he can play but the intensity that we play but he’s been out for one year and with the games in the under 21s – I don’t think he can play with our intensity.”

Along with Forest, 2 other Championship clubs are interested in the 26 year old’s services but it seems Carayol is currently not up to full fitness.
