Cook rewarded with England call-up

Promising Leeds midfielder Lewis Cook has been rewarded for his impressive performances for Neil Redfearn’s side with a call up to Sean O’Driscoll’s England under 19s squad.

Cook has only only turned 18 in February and despite his tender age, he has been an integral part of Leeds United’s midfield this season, playing in 35 of Leeds’ 37 Championship games so far. Cook has already represented his country at under 16s, 17s and 18s level.

Speaking earlier in the season about the promising midfielder, Neil Redfearn heaped praise on Cook and his attitude. He told leedsunited.com “As a person, he is very level-headed. You wouldn’t think he has just turned 18. He’s got a real good outlook on life and how things should be done. His parents have got to take a lot of credit for that.”
