Blackpool boss Lee Clark has expressed his frustration at his side’s performance as Blackpool slumped to a fifth straight defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.

The Tangerines were brushed aside by The Cherries at Dean Court this weekend, with Eddie Howe’s men securing a 4-0 victory. Lee Clark was understandably angry when speaking to Blackpool’s official site.

“We just gave absolutely shocking goals away that shouldn’t be given away in professional football. It’s soul destroying for me and I feel for the supporters who made the long journey down again. It is not acceptable. All the things we talked about, what Bournemouth would do and what they were good at, they never came up with anything unexpected. They never did things that we didn’t think they would do, so we’ve got to be better.”

Blackpool are now 18 points from safety in the Championship and even the most positive fans must surely be planning for life in League 1 next season.
