Tony Stewart’s rallying call for Rotherham fans

Rotherham owner Tony Stewart has called on the Millers’ fan base to help their side in their bid to retain their Sky Bet Championship place next season.

Stewart, who took over the Yorkshire club in 2008, was complimentary of the club’s fans when speaking to www.themillers.co.uk stating that “when AESSEAL New York Stadium is full the atmosphere is electric and we really do create a 12th man with the backing from the stands”. Since Tony Stewart’s takeover, he has overseen 4 managers and 2 promotions.

Rotherham currently lie in 20th place in the Championship, 9 points clear of Wigan and Millwall in the relegation zone. They can’t afford to rest on their laurels with a tough-looking run in including trips to Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest. If Steve Evans’ side can maintain their current run of decent form, they should survive in the Championship, at the first time of asking.
