Neil Redfearn: A bright future

Leeds United head-coach Neil Redfearn has stated that he would not hesitate to use more youngsters in his match-day squads.

Redfearn, who was in-charge of the clubs academy until he took charge of the first team in November, was watching on as a majority-young Leeds side won 5-0 over Huddersfield Town on Monday, in the development league.

Redfearn told the Leeds United official website,

“It’s good to look at everything and, if the opportunity arises, I wouldn’t hesitate to put any of these boys in”.

“They’ve proved that they’re good enough and the lads underneath are pushing them as well.”

The head-coach went on to explain that it is a ‘healthy’ situation to be in.

“It’s a healthy situation to have. It’s always good to have good young players, your future is always your kids and the future looks really bright.”

Leeds United will be looking to push for promotion next season, and with plenty of young talented options, can it be achieved? Only time will tell.
