Ipswich linked with winger

Ipswich Town are allegedly keen on signing Wigan winger James McClean on loan until the end of the season.

According to the Sun on Sunday, manager Mick McCarthy wants to add the winger to his squad as they go into the final 10 games of the season wanting to secure a play-off spot.

However, Ipswich would reportedly have to pay high wages to bring him in, which could be a potential obstacle in the attempt to sign him on loan.

McClean, 25, has often featured in the Wigan side in recent weeks as they continue their relegation battle which boss Malky Mackay hope will be a success come the end of the season.
