Tottenham goalkeeper Jordan Archer has joined Millwall on loan until the end of the season.

The Scotland under-21 has just returned to his parent club from a loan spell at Northampton Town and has now been allowed to leave again on loan to Millwall with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Archer has been training with Millwall the last couple of weeks and Holloway sees him as a potential long-term addition to the squad providing back up for David Forde. He is unlikely to sign a new deal at Spurs and will then be able to join the Lions on a free transfer.

He joins young goalkeepers Denzel Gerrar and Tom King in challenging David Forde for that number one spot between the sticks.

Following the signing of Michael Tonge earlier in the day, Archer becomes the eighth January signing for Ian Holloway.
