The Daily Star is reporting that QPR are in attempts to sign Bakary Sako for £2.5 million before the transfer window closes.
Villa and West Brom are reportedly interested in signing the Malian winger who is currently occupied at the AFCON and the Daily Star reports the winger who is a hot prospect at the minute is set to sign. With 110 appearances for Wolves and 28 goals from left wing in his career at Molineux, the midfielder is powerful, strong and capable of scoring goals.
This season, he is the top-scorer at Molineux with seven goals and appears to be in great form. With Premier League clubs circling like sharks for the skillful winger, it looks likely he is going to leave with QPR his expected destination. Redknapp is keen on bringing the winger in to reinforce his Premier League QPR side and ensure they avoid relegation.
When asked about Sako’s potential departure, Team-mate Scott Golbourne quoted to the Birmingham Mail;
“If that was to happen, he’d be missed,” “But sometimes when people look at something as a crisis, I think it’s the Chinese who say, ‘The word for crisis is opportunity’.
“So it’s a chance for someone else.
“I think a lot of the time, a lot of people have a negative mind-set where it’s doom and gloom all the time and they’re looking for the next problem.
“Things like that will always happen but sometimes it creates an opportunity.
“If it happened and he left, it would leave a gap for someone else to come in and you might find some other chemistry in the team becomes dominant and a force.”
Could Sako be on his way?
