Millwall have signed Southampton centre back Jos Hooiveld on loan until the end of the season.
Hooiveld was on loan at Norwich City, but the loan was cancelled enabling him to join the south London side.
Millwall have been conceding goals left, right and centre and the 31-year-old will be brought into Ian Holloway’s side in hope of making the defence a solid unit.
Speaking to the Club’s official website, Hooiveld said:
“I want as much success as possible – as many wins and as many clean sheets as we can – which is just what every footballer hopes for,”
“It is very important (to be playing regularly) and I’m no different from anyone else.”
Having played 50 games in the Premier League for Southampton in recent years, Hooiveld could be a massive help to Millwall’s cause during the relegation scrap.
