So, after the highly successful/controversial Twitter Championship Best XI  last week, tonight saw the League 1 Best XI discussed. Our interactions went crazy and we acquired over 100 new followers so thanks for that! We even managed to trend #League1XI in Wolverhampton (I wonder why) which was cool.

But you can’t please everyone. There’s some excellent players in League 1 and it wouldn’t be unjust to say it’s probably the strongest position the league has been in for quite some time. Possibly ever. Anyway, we are very, very aware of some of the players that we’ve had to leave out.

Sheffield United’s Harry Maguire has been touted as a future England prospect, Bakary Sako is well, Bakary Sako. Adam Forshaw has been excellent for Brentford as have Callum McGregor and Alex Pritchard for their clubs. Up-front Kevin Lisbie and Pat Bamford would grace most League 1 sides, but they just missed out on this one. Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson have been brilliant for Coventry this year. The fact they have both been so good perhaps hindered their chances of actually getting in this team.

Anyway, here’s your League 1 Best XI. No doubt things will change pretty quickly so fear not, we’ll update it in a couple of months.
