5 things we learned about the Championship this weekend

1. No breakaway at the top

IpswichThe weeks continue to go by and we are still waiting to see who is going to take the inititive at the top of the Championship table. To not even have a couple of teams clear of the rest after four months of the season is rare for the Championship. With Derby putting a sub-standard display at Leeds, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough both only able to draw, whilst Ipswich and Brentford both won it was all change in the play-off spots. As a comparison, by this point last season the top six were separated by ten points. At the present time the top six are just four points apart. This congestion at the top cannot last forever and with games coming thick and fast over the next month or so, we will soon get a better picture of who are the serious contenders for promotion.
