5. Liam Cooper – Leeds v Blackpool

I don’t know about you, but I love a good centre back rocket. Leeds Summer signing Liam Cooper provides us with a corker here, taking the ball on the volley and smashing it past Blackpool ‘keeper and worst-job-in-the-world nominee Joe Lewis.

4. Jeff Hendrick – Derby vs Wolves

Irish international Hendrick played a starring role in Derby’s 5-0 demolition of Wolves, scoring two goals. His first was in contention for this list, but the second was a wonderful team goal capped off by a superb assist from Will Hughes and a cutely taken finish by Hendrick.

3. Callum McManaman – Wigan vs Bolton

Wigan may have been roundly beaten at The Macron Stadium on Saturday, but Callum McManaman scored the pick of the goals, deftly controlling his volley into the top of the net. A superb finish.

2. Lasse Vigen Christiensen – Fulham vs Huddersfield

The Danish youngster caps off a fantastic, flowing move with a stunning nutmeg and deft, composed finish. Absolute footballing eye candy.

1. Ross McCormack – Fulham vs Huddersfield

Fulham’s 12 Million Pound man answers his many critics with an absolute belter. Nothing fancy about this one, just a super, technically flawless strike of the football.
