South Yorkshire Round-Up – 1/11/14

Rotherham United 0-3 Middlesbrough

10 man Rotherham were quite frankly over-run by a dominant Middlesbrough side. 3 different goalscorers sealed Rotherham’s fate and ensured 3 points went back up North. Patrick Bamford turned neatly on the edge of the box and slotted home nicely. Yanic Wildschut made it two after a neat turn on the edge of the box. He coolly slotted into the top corner on his debut for the club.

It then got worse for Steve Evans’ men. Jordan Bowery was sent off for an off-the-ball altercation with Boro player George Friend. From there on in, Boro ruled the roost. Lee Tomlin then topped off a great victory for Aitor Karanka’s men. A neat dribble from Tomlin left the Rotherham defence helpless before hitting the ball back across goal, rendering Millers stopper, Adam Collin, useless.
