Our season so far: Millwall

shittuOnto October, the third month of the season and the time where we really begin to see who will be challenging for promotion or who will be fighting to beat the drop. The Lions started off the month with an away trip to promotion chasing Derby County, with expectations low, the Millwall faithful were bracing themselves for defeat, but Ian Holloway’s men fought strongly against the Rams and managed to come away from the iPro stadium with a point. Something which lifted the spirits of the team. Then came Wolves at home, where a resilient Millwall side fought back from being three-nil down to grab a point in a six-goal-thriller at The Den. The comeback sparked hope into everyone associated with Millwall and restored confidence back into a struggling side. The Lions then faced fellow strugglers Wigan, a game in which saw another 0-0 draw. A win was on the cards sooner or later for the Lions, and it came in-front of the cameras when Millwall beat Cardiff City by a goal to nil. Results had changed an unbeaten run has seemed to of formed itself.
