5 things we learned about League 2 this weekend

Tranmere are in deep trouble

Rob EdwardsIf the scenes away at Carlisle a few weeks ago are anything to go by, Tranmere fans are beginning to turn against manager Rob Edwards and it is not difficult to see why. Bottom of the Football League, without a league goal since mid-September and without a win since August, things will have to change rapidly for Rovers if they want to try and get up the league table. Following a midweek win in the JPT, the Prenton Park faithful could be forgiven for thinking that yesterday’s match against Plymouth, again at home, would spell an upturn in fortunes for the club but Rueben Reid’s 29th minute header dashed any hopes of this. Tranmere need a few quick victories if they are to try and move further up the league or, at the very least, try and ease supporter’s fears about relegation and persuade them that Edwards is still the best man for the job.
