FANS OF THE WEEKEND: Portsmouth
There were a lot of impressive turnouts from both home and away fans this weekend but the award goes to Portsmouth, who had around 1000 fans all the way to York. It’s a shame that the action on the field didn’t match the endeavour of those away fans as a 0-0 draw met them at Bootham Crescent and neither set of fans would have been content with just a point.
Pompey were on top for long spells but couldn’t find the back of the net and York probably should have nicked it at the end but the points are shared. It would have been a long trip home for those South Coast fans but it’s always a sight to see so many willing to follow their team up and down the country.
