YOUNG PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND: Rakish Bingham – Mansfield Town
After not making a single appearance for Wigan Athletic and spending half a season with Falkirk last season, not many would have said that 20-year-old Rakish Bingham would be pulling up trees at Mansfield Town but he’s had an incredible start.
Two goals this weekend against Carlisle, his first was a particularly tidy finish, and Bingham looks to really be making waves early on in his Stags career. He still has plenty of time to continue his development and it shows just why teams should take a bit of a risk on young players, they can pay you back in spades.
