Crawley Town are expected to complete the signing of midfielder Marvin Elliott this week.
The 30 year-old has already been training with Crawley as he looks to earn himself a contract with the League one side.
The Jamaican international, who started his career off at Millwall, was released by Bristol City at the end of last season and is currently a free agent.
Meanwhile, Crawley were dealt an injury blow during their goalless stalemate with Doncaster on Tuesday evening, with defender Ryan Dickson picking up suspected ankle damage.
Crawley boss John Gregory admitted after the game: “That might be a bit of a long-term injury.”
Crawley could use the experience of Elliott in midfield as they look to seal a promotion spot, but it looks unlikely at the moment as they sit 18th in League One following a 2-0 away loss to Preston North End.
