August Manager of the Month: The Championship

Stuart Pearce – Nottingham Forest

huddersfield-3-4340-1877184_478x359No-one at Forest expected the start of the season to go so well for Pearce and the Reds. With off the field unrest through the sales of Lascelles and Darlow it was feared that things were falling apart before the season had got underway. Nevertheless Forest have been clinical in the way they have started the season. The only unbeaten side left in the Championship winning four games and a single draw at Bolton. Pearce’s side have already shown great determination winning when having much less of the ball and even fewer chances at Bournemouth is a good sign and the convincing win over Reading also shows that Forest have the quality to kill sides off. September looks to be a tricky month for the club with games against Derby, Fulham, Millwall, Brighton and Wigan. If they can end next month in the same league position they currently occupy they are likely to be many people’s  favourites for promotion.
