Norwich City have signed Arsenal Ignasi Miquel for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old has joined The Canaries on a three-year deal with an opportunity for a further 12 months.

Speaking to Norwich’s official website, Miquel said: “It’s brilliant for me to come here and I want to try and get in the team as soon as I can to help Norwich get back to the Premier League.

“I had to move on from Arsenal and Norwich have given me the chance to prove myself. The Championship is a tough league, but I know what it’s about and I enjoyed it last season. I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

Miquel has joined Norwich on a three-year deal

Miquel joined Arsenal in 2010 and made a total of 14 appearances for The Gunners. He was loaned out to Leicester City last season and helped them return to the Premier League.

He can play centrally or at left-back and is signed to boost Norwich’s defence this season.

The defender was part of the Spanish side that won the Under 19s European Championship in 2011 and went on to represent his country at Under 21 level.
