Wigan Athletic have made their third deadline-day signing in Danish midfielder William Kvist, according to the club’s website.
The 29-year-old joins on a free transfer from German side VfB Stuttgart having spent the latter half of last season on loan to Fulham. The defensive midfielder has made over 40 appearances for Denmark and attracted interest from Spain over the summer but chose Uwe Rosler’s side.
Rosler said of Kvist: “William is a player I know from my time in Norway, He is a top international midfielder in the prime of his career and we are absolutely delighted to be able to sign him.”
Kvist joins Adam Forshaw and Andy Delort as Wigan’s transfer deadline deals and looks to be a replacement for Crystal Palace-bound James McArthur.
