Brighton sign Sam Baldock from Bristol City

Brighton have completed the signing of Sam Baldock on a four-year deal, according to Sky Sports.

The striker has signed from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee and the 25-year-old is the Seagulls’ 12th signing of the summer. Baldock was the top scorer in League One last season with 24 goals and has been linked with a move away from the Robins all summer with Sami Hyppia winning the race for his signature.

The Brighton boss told Sky Sports News: “Sam was one of our key summer attacking targets. I’m delighted we have now completed the transfer and to be able to welcome him to the club.”

Brighton will be hopeful that Baldock can fill the vacancy left by Leonardo Ulloa who left for Leicester City earlier in the summer, whilst Bristol will be buoyed by the signing of Kieron Agard last week.
